Meet the Founder: Laura Lyons
Educator, researcher, functional nutritionist and functional lab master interpreter, entrepreneur and outdoor enthusiast. Bringing real, common sense, no BS nutrition and lifestyle education to women.
I’m Laura Lyons, the founder of Wild Lyons Wellness, Shop Wild + Well-Fed, the Wild + Well-Fed Course, and The Wild + Well-Fed Journal. I’m a Nutritionist who specializes in women’s health—hormones, metabolism, digestion, blood sugar, minerals, nervous system, and the art of coming home to your body.
I found my way into this field after healing my own chronic health issues through food, nature, and lifestyle—the very principles I now teach. My work is equal parts science, intuition, lived experience, and observation after running hundreds of functional lab tests and working with thousands of women over the past decade.
But I’m also so much more than my profession. I live in Oregon with my husband, our three goats, twenty-five chickens, and our sixteen-year-old orange tabby. When I’m not working, I’m usually outside—mountain climbing, mountain biking, hiking through the forest, or traveling in my camper van we built with our own hands. I’ve recently returned to my creative roots through writing (hello Substack), drawing, and silversmithing, launching a new chapter as the artist behind Wild + Well-Adorned because health isn’t just about what you eat and how you move your body.
I started my practice in 2018, but I’ve been immersed in the wellness world for well over a decade. Since then, I’ve supported women through courses, memberships, workshops, 1:1 work, and hundreds of hours of free education across social media, podcasts, and the Wild + Well-Fed Journal.
My philosophy is simple: nourishment isn’t just what you eat, it’s the way you live your life. When a woman is aligned, rested, grounded and fed, in body and spirit, everything in her life transforms. I believe women are their most powerful when they feel good, truly good. And I promise I can get you there.
I’m here to challenge the conventional narratives around health, help you unlearn what’s keeping you stuck, and guide you back to yourself through education and functional lab testing. My work blends storytelling, humor, science, and soul—rooted in nature-guided living, intentional nourishment, and the belief that when a woman feels good inside and out, her entire life transforms.
I understand the female body and psyche on a deep level, and it shapes everything about how I teach and guide women.

1. Knowledge is power
You can’t heal what you don’t understand. When you learn how your body actually works, you stop fearing it and start making decisions that support long-term healing instead of short-term control. Education is the foundation of freedom.
2. Root-Cause Clarity
Symptoms are messengers, not mistakes. Your symptoms are simply a reflection of your environment - mental, physical and emotional. Once you change the environment, you change the terrain.
3. Food Freedom is Foundational
Healing doesn’t come from fear and restriction (you already tried that)—it comes from nourishment.You don’t need to earn your food or restrict to be well. You need to eat enough, often, and with purpose - because food is medicine and pleasure.
4. Your Life Is the Medicine
You’re either feeding your symptoms or feeding your healing. How you live - how you breathe, move, rest, eat, who you surround yourself with and how you think - matters more than any supplement. Healing happens when your daily life supports your biology and does not works against it.
5. Nature is the Blueprint
Your body was built to heal - if you support it, not suppress it. We follow nature’s wisdom, we are not machines or a to-do list. No extremes. No gimmicks. Just tools that work with your physiology, not against it.
